backpacking in USA?
where can i read about backpacking in th US, i’m interesting in “travel guides” or something similar, where hostels and ways to travel are recommended…
(I’m thiknking about going to the “west coast”, like LA…but want to see Vegas too, are there something like shorter guided tours? I’m planning to go in October or November..)
i’ve never backpacked the U.S. but i’ve done a lot of research about traveling there (i’m going myself in august).
there’s the train called Amtrak that you can use to travel throughout California / Nevada and whereever else you would like to go. the only thing is – as long as you have the time to do that because the train takes a long time.
you can also look into buying Flight Passes (i can’t remember which company i saw this with, check www.flightcentre.com and www.expedia.ca). so you can pay $1000 for a flight pass that allows unlimited travel within a specific area, so if you choose the states you can use it in the states – i’m not exactly sure how it works.
