Help with my Pit Bull pls?
my puppy pitbull is 5 months old, and has a ton of energy and endurance… i have been running her since we’ve had her, so it takes very, very long to get her tired
i was wondering if you guys had any tips on how to get her tired… we live in san diego, so its really hot, and she hates playing in the day, even when you go out, she will just stumble around with no energy, and when it gets cooler at night, she gets excited and barks
also i have heard about “dog backpacks” and puting heavy objects in them. i have considered this option to get her tired more quickly, but was wondering if it would be bad for her to use since she is so young (5 months)
spring poles.. i have one for all my Pits and it definitely tires them out..also the dog back pack is a good idea since shes so young i would just let her carry a bottle of water around.
my springpole cost about $20 but for your pup only thing you will need is a horse lead and a tree branch. the horse leads you can buy for about $10-$15

also like the other person suggested treadmills are great exercise for dogs, and they can do it inside where its cool, i bought one off of craigslist for $50, works perfect.i let mine run on it for about 45 min.
